Exactly, when I first started looking I had 4 or 5 threads open on several tabs trying to figure out how I wanted to do it. That's what inspired me to start this thread, try to consolidate it all together. Nice to see it helping people figure things out

Here is the progression:

When I first started, they were all behind the grill:

Then came the brush guard and I though I lost the low point for the amber Duallys, so they moved behind the grill and the white Duallys came to the front. It made them harder to use. They stayed in back over the summer, 'cause, well, it's Alaska. It doesn't get dark enough in the summer.

Now it's winter, so I moved them down to the IC hole to see if I can get some better use out of them. The plan is to move them to the fog holes and use some H10 to Deustch pigtails to install a set of Rigids with a diffused lens somewhere else.

This is right after aiming them. I haven't had a chance to use them on the road yet, and I can't very well use them in the city without sending APD into a hizzie fit.

^^^ Wow akmedic77, you've tried quite a few different varieties, happy with it finally or are you still planning something?

Has anyone mounted them behind this grill? I like to keep the oem grill look but my grill sucks for trying to fit a light bar behind it. I found them on ebay and I'm sure I could just order it from a local dealer and it would be the same cost.

I'm still debating. I have the Deustch Pigtails to move some to the fog light holes, and I might end up with another 20" - not sure if it will be an E/E2 or another SR/SR2. I scrapped the idea of mounting some SRQ or SRMs in the back bumper and ordered something simple from SuperBrightLEDS, so I can just concentrate on Rigids to the front. I'll post changes as I make them. I tried running the Ambers in the snow and just wasn't pleased. I think I like the white better.

Nevermind I found a pic. This is Evernine grill and it more noticeable than I thought.

Yeah that grill does make it difficult. You will loose slightly more light behind that one, but not enough to make a big difference.
