Default LT245/75R17E tire pressure - HD Payload people?

This question got nowhere on the main forum. Maybe somebody here with the HD Payload package can answer ...

I'll be switching to LT245/75R17E next week. (Michelin LTX MS/2)

I know max LT-E rated tire pressure for this size is 80psi, but what does Ford put on the door for operating pressure with these tires?

Don't need anywhere near the 3195# load capacity at 80psi. Only 2025# is required to match my rear GAWR. So I should be able to use something less than 80psi safely. Just wondering what Ford recommends.

Thanks ...

You are right - don't inflate them to 80psi, they'd be like solid rubber tires, LOL.
Ford says 55psi front / 60psi rear under max load.
That is what I inflate my tires to when I haul firewood or when we go camping. For daily driving, I inflate the tires to 50ps front 55psi rear, I am thinking of even trying 45psi / 50psi, that's most likely still enough unloaded.

Great tire choice, that's what I most likely will get when my current tires need replacement. But question for you: why not get that tire in 265/70-17 (same diameter but wider) or even 285/70-17 (even wider, but also taller). I am thinking about the 285's. The 245's look rather skinny IMO.
