Yes it does.
And to answer the OP's question, yes it will stain. It's not too bad on fiberglass, but any plastic or rubber will be a PITA to clean. Make sure to keep it well waxed, which will help to get the soot off more easily.
Soot comes off with a little elbow grease and purple power cleaner or super clean. A magic eraser works too. Cleaner wax will also take it off of any waxable surface and the PVC rail caps on the corners.

Yea, I know they are making some light-weight campers to tow with 1/2 tons, but they still have to be heavy for a light-weight pick-up.
And I'm not sold on the durability of those ecoboosts. Not sure how long the motor will last if you really use it as a workhorse. Time will tell.
If it's a standard camper, get the diesel. My friend uses his Silverado 3500 dually on his 36' Cyclone toy hauler with double slider. It pulls it no problem, but a 1/2 ton wouldn't move it. I normally clean and wax the camper for him every few years and it sucks, but if you wax it every spring and fall, it wouldn't be bad. Well, relatively speaking. Waxing a camper kind of sucks no matter what.

There's no doubt these ecoboost are workhorses especially for a half to . Especially for a v6!
They have surprised a lot of people. I'm more concerned about safety while towing with my 6 month old daughter. I know this truck is capable of towing my tt, I just don't like reading the white knuckle story's with people pulling lighter and shorter camper.
I'm hoping those story's are coming from people who's trucks aren't properly equipped because I REALLY want an ecoboost!

With that sort of weight of a rig then you'll be fine to haul it with a EB (max tow/HD payload though).
However, how likely are you to upgrade rigs in the future? Since your existing rig is a bunkhouse I'll assume you have kids. How old are they, how will that impact what sort of rig you'll want? Will the truck by your daily driver? All things to consider.
If you are likely (or even undecided or unsure) about upgrading trailers, then you probably will... With RV'ing it's usually a question of when you upgrade not if.
Factor all this stuff in when making the choice. I LOVE (LOVE, LOVE) my ecobeast, but it'll likely be my last gasser... The main reason being larger trailers.

As far as the smoke issue, stock the 6.7 doesn't even whisp black smoke. Even tuned it only blows back on a hard launch or gagging it while cruising with zero boost built up. Take that from a guy that owns a 6.7, not a guy that owns a pregen f150 with a buddy that has a uncle who's farm hand's brother owns a 6.7

jcain, you dont have to start being an asshol e about me not owning a superduty. Jesus Christ why are you such a dick? Why are you even on the F150 forum if you dont own one? I tried to smoke my friends superduty, whom i go to school with and see everyday. If you agree with my point is it necessary to say that?

The truck is going to be a daily driver.
I will keep the truck between 3-5 years
I have one kid right now (6 months old)
Plan to have more kids, but this trailer will suit me fine for a few years
Plan to upgrade to a 5th wheel but not for a few years.
I think the ecoboost is the best truck for my current situation. But I just dont like the fact that the ecoboost is going to be right on the line with my camper. Im not getting max payload if I get ecoboost. I will get max tow and airbag

If your planning to upgrade to a 5th wheel in a few years then buy the F350 now. The truck will just about be broken in by the time you buy the 5ver. It makes no sense having to upgrade your truck in just 3 years if you are already planning on a bigger trailer. That is unless you have a bunch of extra cash burning a hole in your pocket!
