FYI: the 2015 Ford RV and Towing guide states that a 150# passenger at each available seating position is included. This is for the HD payload package not sure about the rest of the configurations.
http://www.fleet.ford.com/resources/...Tgde_May19.pdf
Page 10
The max payload for a 4x4 CC with a 156.8" WB is 1728(Eco)/1718(5.0) with 18" wheels. If you add 900# (6 seat configuration) to it you get the max advertised Payload of ~2600 from Ford.

CC or carrying capacity is NOT payload.

As you say, CC takes into account an 150# person in each seating position.

Payload does not include anybody, just a full tank of fuel.
Payload is what is reported on the yellow sticker on the door jamb, NOT CC.
Payload = GVWR - Curb Weight of an empty truck as it is delivered from the factory with a full tank of gas.

Payload is the GVWR- Actual Curb weight. It doesn't matter if the tank is full or not or how it was delivered. I added a tool box and a heavy front bumper, thus reducing my payload several hundred pounds from factory.

Find the GVWR sticker on the truck. Drive truck over the scales. Subtract the numbers and that is your true payload.

EX: My truck is 8200 GVWR, weight at the scales with a full tank of fuel is 6600lbs. 8200-6600= 1600lbs.
That means everything (passengers, snacks, supplies, tongue weight of trailer, AND whats in the bed) gets subtracted from 1600. Even though the factory says my payload is 2300, I would be overloaded by 700lbs.

As noted in my original post, I was talking about the Payload on the yellow sticker on the door jamb. That is how the truck was delivered from the factory with a full tank of gas. As you say, it is not your current payload, especially if you've added all sorts of stuff to your truck.

Brulaz,
Thank you for the correction. I misread the information. Sorry for putting out bad information. I don't like it when other people do it so really don't like it when I do it. So again apologies to everyone for the bad information.

Looks good to me. Refresh my memory, did Ford even sell a supercrew F150 in 2014 without power windows/locks/keyless/cruise/ac? I wouldn't think so, but I've been wrong before. If not, I'm assuming your truck has all those options? And it's a 6.5' bed, jealous! Your truck, options wise if it has all those power options sounds nearly identical to mine, I didn't realize the HD payload package added 1000+ of payload capacity, that's impressive. Congrats on getting a good one!

No. XL regular cab and Supercab with base trim included AC, but not power wndows/locks/keyless/or cruise control. But those were standard on the XL Supercrew, and they were optional as the Power Equipment Group on the regular cab and Supercab with base trim.

Heh, I blame Ford. Dunno why they want to create more confusion by coming up with a new term and definition that very few people ever use or care about.
