2.7EB: I am convinced
Rented a TT to go to my wife's family reunion. 29ft trail runner bunk house. GVW of 7700. I am guessing it weighs somewhere around 68-6900. Traveled from MARIETTA GA to Jenny Wiley State park in eastern KY. Pulled it very well, rarely had to be above 3k even pulling Jellico Mtn in Tenn. getting about 8mpg. Only had a friction plate sway control so there was some sway even a couple of white knuckle moments when being passed by a tractor trailer, but overall a pleasant experience.

Glad to hear it went well.
That trailer looks more like a 32' or 33' Bunkhouse, much longer than a 29'.
I have a 29' Bunkhouse and that trailer is definitely longer.
BTW, what do you mean a friction plate. I've seen many anti-sway control devices and that has me puzzled.
Your not talking about the standard anti sway bars are you?
Thanks and happy trails!

Yes. Like the one you show. Didn't know what they were called, but they use friction to limit sway. The more you tighten down the plate the more resistance it has.

Yep, people with a trailer that long usually use 2 sway bars and even then, it doesn't work as well as a dedicated anti sway weight distribution hitch system.

I tow a 30' TT with my 04, WD hitch and no sway control, never needed it. Always tows great.
I have found that it is all in the set up of trailer (weight distribution) and tow vehicle.
