What are you guys doing for tow mirrors?

I got a set of PowerScope power telescoping tow mirrors from a member who had them for sale here on the forum. I paid $1000 for the mirrors plus another $200 or so for wires, switch and bezel for the telescoping feature, wire harness pigtail, etc. It took a few hours to solder and run wires, cut the door panel and install the telescoping switch, and get everything wired up.
Overall, I love them for towing!!! I hadn't towed over the winter/spring and had removed them and put my standard size ones on for several months. I just put the tow mirrors back on the other day because I'm getting ready for a 1500 mile round-trip tow. It takes about 45 minutes to swap them on/off. Nothing the matter at all with daily driving with them, but I did a couple thousand mile trip several months ago with nothing towed behind the truck and thought I might prefer the standard mirrors better - plus I thought I might get maybe 1 mpg better fuel economy with the smaller mirrors, but I don't think it amounted to anything at all.
I think the 1A1 manual extending mirrors are a good price and I could easily live with manual extension.

I went ahead and ordered the tow mirrors off of stage 3 motorsports. They are power glass, heated, LED turn signal, with puddle lights. I guess I'm just going to have to get used to not having power folding mirrors. I just couldn't see paying another $300 for the power fold through A1. Plus I'm still going g to have them painted to match like my current mirrors are.

I recently purchased the manual ones from A1auto. They were easy to install and work quite well (and they come with the puddle lamps too!). As others have stated, I couldn't bring myself to pay the premium for the power option.

I started out using the **** clip on mirrors, but determined they really weren't that much of an improvement, so I purchased aftermarket tow mirrors that look the same as OEM. They are heated, power glass, puddle and signals. Manual extension and manual fold. However, when I swapped them out, I was unable to find any clear instructions on the wiring, so now when I turn on a turn signal or flasher, my defroster indicator on the dash blinks. Everything appears to function properly, so I am not worried about it enough to take it apart and mess with it.

I bought the ones from stage 3 motorsports, price was on point. Fitment was perfect, all the lights work including the puddle lights that I didn't have on the stock ones. The mirrors look like stock super duty mirrors so they don't look gawd awful and out of place on a Ford. They manual extend/fold which is fine for me and everything was plug and play. They don't have heat or night dimming.

Maybe they are heated, but the dont have the heat symbol on the glass. I installed mine a few months ago so no need for heat yet. Also mine weren't heated before so i don't have a button to turn them on...

If you have a rear window defrost button, that activates the mirror defrost.

If your outside mirrors were not heated from the factory, then the wiring is not in the plug&play plug to heat the aftermarket mirrors. You can still make the heated mirrors work, but it requires some pretty fancy wiring skills.
