What WDH and sway setup are you running?

I've got an Equalizer 1,000/10,000 lb setup on my trailer. Works well so far after about 500 towing miles. It's pretty easy to setup and so far pretty quiet. I like that I don't need to mess with chains. I've also heard with the dual cam it can be challenging to get set up just right...you need to get the spring bars centered over the cams when the vehicle is perfectly straight ahead.
Here's a pic of the my equalizer hitch.

I too use an Equalizer 1000/10000 setup. It is easy to set up and works as advertised. This or the Reese dual cam are very popular and will likely be much better than what the local dealer is intending on selling you. I live in Ottawa like you and would strongly suggest you buy your WDH in the US as you will likely save alot. I bought mine here www.adventurerv.net and picked it up at the border.

I have a Hensley Arrow, and love it. I tow a TT that has a dry weight of 7250 lbs, and I know it's back there but it's manageable. I am towing with a 2004 Screw, 3.73, Max tow pkg. I am installing an air lift helper kit this week to help plane the truck out a little (roughly 2".) I am definitely near the top of my towing capacity, but she still trucks along.

Back off to "very good" and you have my Reese Strait-Line dual cam.

I've never researched the less-expensive WD hitches.
My TV is a 2012 EcoScrew 5.5 box, with MaxTow (3.73's) so I should have tons of truck to pull it with.

You have the same truck as me except i have the 6.5' bed. You actually have 70lbs more payload then i do. I tow an Outback 292BH that is 33' long, 7500lbs loaded and I am within all my trucks ratings but i am close to my trucks GVWR of 7700lbs. My truck weighed in at 7540lbs hooked to the trailer with my family of four in the truck(myself,wife,7yr old son, 4yr old daughter). I had the kids bikes, fishing gear and my trusty little Weber Q grill in the bed of the truck. So it can be done you just need to watch what you load in the truck.
I also use the Equal-i-zer with 4 way sway control and love it!! .

My payload is 1765 on the door sticker. I've got 3 small kids under 5 and the dog. Most trailers I've been looking at have somewhere between 500 to 700lbs tongue weight. I thought with the WDH taking some of that then I would be good for payload; might be getting close but still be good.

Getting ready to buy my first TT, probably something around 28ft and 7500lbs. I'm starting to look for hitch gear and would like your guys opinion on which brands and setups are best. I really like what I see with the Husky Centerline. My TV is a 2012 EcoScrew 5.5 box, with MaxTow (3.73's) so I should have tons of truck to pull it with.
