Thanks for your help. I've got about 34.5 inches of clearance. I'll be cutting off the existing brackets.

check for any clearance issues...I added some bike rack hitch brackets.. had a loud bang... seen the damage to the brackets....didn't see this till this weekend when I went to use it...
you can see the stress the force put on the welds...have to see if its fixable... or replacement...
