Loaded with 1000 Kg of Rundle Rock gravel. Finally I have that oh-so-coveted bulldoggin' stance.
Loaded with 1280 Kg of gravel because 1000 didn't make the truck sweat.
It really doesn't look like much, does it? The scale confirmed the weight though. 4030 Kg with me in the truck.
1.5 cubic yards of wet cedar mulch. This felt like hauling air after three loads of gravel!

On the way to lunch we noticed a Range Rover broken down on the side of the road. On our way back it was still sitting there so we pulled over to ask if they needed some help. Long story short, the owner had called two tow trucks but neither of them showed up and her son had just graduated basic training and was going to need a ride back on base to meet his curfew. I offered to tow her Range Rover to the dealership so she could get a rental from there. Since it wouldn't run and it was too heavy to push up the trailer ramps, I had to winch it on.
Winching it on

Curious, how'd you winch it on with your winch in the front?

I just posted the video of how I winched it on. Luckily I had some firewood in the back of my pickup so we placed a few pieces under the rear frame of the trailer to keep the front of the trailer on the ground then unhooked it and turned around to winch it on.

How someone could sit there and watch someone do all that, including rent a trailer to tow their broken $70k+ suv, and not even offer to pay for the trailer rental at the very least, is unbelievable.
You obviously didn't have the trailer with you already, right?
So you told her you were leaving to rent a trailer, came back with it and she still never offered you a dime?
I totally agree with doing nice things just because it's the right thing to do, I don't blame you one bit, but that's unreal on her part.
Good karma coming your way.. bad coming hers.
