...he won't...we can all tell that from the picture and comment. He may just not be confident yet, and that is just fine, and makes me feel a little better on the road. A lot of what we may do comes with experience. A trucks rated capabilities only play a part in getting things from one place to the other.

Maybe to many trucks?
ok so our 86 F150 does some work like hauling scrap metal and such but the super duty of ours does more of the work. So here is some photos of our F150 doing some work hope my 88 doesn't see this bad of work. Wish I had some pics of our 86 pulling our horse trailer or the one of it pulling a box trailer 8x12 and a utility trailer (64 F100 bed) both at once or my favorite 10x50 mobile home around the yard.

a little scrapping F150 doing the hard work hauling it in (a video click the link: http://s1084.photobucket.com/albums/...ps26bae82e.mp4
traded this:
for this everyting but the super duty wheel buckets and gas can:
16 golf cart batteries and our 16ft flatbed trailer
belive it or not this took 15 minutes to load up (previous practice with higher trucks) would have used the super duty but not a big enough bed:
some times we get junk so big we need 2 trucks bunch of junk in the F150 then our tools and generator and more junk in the F250 super duty me and my mom drove the F250 while my dad drove the F150 (he doesn't want me with the really big loads in high winds)
trying to impress the neighbor pulling out a 6 ft copper rod supprisingly my dad wasn't mad he just laughed then said you are replacing that bumper.
More pics among request.

Helped the father-in-law take down, then haul home for him a replacement bin on my little lighter duty 15ft trailer. Last one he had for about 20 years, and his father used it for at least 20 years before that. Rusted out, and here is the replacement. Light load for sure. As soon as I get around to mounting the rails, and or picking up the new to me trailer from the neibor I should have some more.

Wow!!! That to me makes him rank rite up there with a lot of Swift Transportation drivers. Sorry, but if he doesn't feel safe with more than that behind his 1/2 ton I don't know what to say. A lot of older men I know are usually far more comfident in things then they should be...but hey, the got to be that old without getting killed so what do I know.
