I did. Fun isn't the first word that comes to mind. Went back and grabbed another load too. My kids love Summer-Dad (not!).

I hope you at least noodled them before trying to hand split!

Summer-Dad must have some strong shoulders

Summer Dad's ideas don't check with his body first. He also uses a log splitter.

Wood splitters come in handy, nearly lost a finger to one a couple years ago. Split most of our wood by hand now lol

Put the truck to work on the horse farm this weekend with two trips to the feed store. First a ton of hay, timothy-orchard grass mix. Bales were a little lighter than usual, so 47 bales to the ton and I had to go one row higher in the stack than usual. Second trip was for a pallet of bagged shavings, 40 bags total.

55lbs x 110 bales
6050lbs + 1500lb trailer = 7550lbs + three passengers, 4x4" heavy pallets, 500lbs of tools between the back seat box and the crossbox

I can say I "use"my 10th gen more than any other regularly-visiting member on here.
Not bad for a 21yr old university student/construction worker/pizza delivery boy/elevator operator
