Belongs to a friend of a friend. No idea how much it weighs, but probably close to the trucks max tow rating of 5600 lbs.
Towed this up a steep switchback from a marina, about 10km down the highway, on the ferry, then 3 km to a guys house for repair.

A little much for the 4.2 to tow. Made it up the steep marina road, but struggled. Part of the issue I suspect is the tongue weight. The truck didn't squat at all when I hooked it up. I do have Hellwig overload spring packs, but i wonder if the there wasn't enough tongue weight. Repair guy's house was 150 yards up a sloped gravel driveway and truck was spinning out as it struggled to the top. Won't likely do that again. Agreed to help out sight unseen and was surprised at how big it was when I got there. Can't tell from the pics but there are twin Yamaha's on the back.

edit: Just heard from the boat owner that the boat was heavier than normal. The hull had some cracks that had allowed the foam core to fill up with water. Boat has been draining for a couple of days.

Went up north for the 4th, didn't have trailer ready to go, and didn't want to take old blue. Built a frame out of some old 2x4's and 2x12's to keep the weight off of the tailgate. Took it home from the farm a couple days before to give it a test as I had never put it in the box of this pickup before (or any shortbox for that matter). Made a couple strap changes & additions to tighten things up and take out the front/back rocking on rough or whooped out roads (rails in the box came in real handy for this). Worked great, just felt over rougher sections like I had a bumper pull behind me with a lot of tongue weight. Lifted the front end 1/2" (I swore it was more but the tape doesn't lie), dropped the back 3". One way was 300 miles and I'd do it again in a heartbeat if needed. Only dropped the mileage by about 1mpg, trailer would have dropped it about 4+.
