1 cubic yard of top soil weighs between 1700lbs and 2000lbs depending on the moisture content. So your saying you had 4,000 pounds in your bed of the pickup? How many ply tires do you have? I have 10 ply LT and they are not even rated for nearly that much wieght!

Yeah, I added it up too and averaged 2400# per CY. At that weight, I was 3500# over my rear axle GAWR! I didn't say it was a good idea, but as I mentioned it was a slow 5mi neighborhood drive to where it was dumped.

But to answer your question, I do run E-rated tires and 5k lb air bags.

Hauled the trailer from TX to ND. 1700 miles. Took a detour to see the in laws

Around "two yards" of mulch. Truck didn't feel anything back there.

That is nice. I was wondering wont be easier to get a trailer to haul this kinda stuff. You get more per load and u don't have to worry about dinging the bed or the cab with the louder
