Default Transmission cooler install question

I just got a 2010 f150 with 4.6 24v. It doesn't have a transmission cooler so I ordered a dorman "oem style". I'm old school and I'm baffled as to how to disconnect the transmission cooler lines. There's some kinda coupling thing and a bracket thing. I'm assuming that its pretty simple, but I can't find a "how to" for it.

Looks similar to the connections on the A/C lines? These are pressure release couplers and require a special tool. You can get one at any auto shop cheap. I have found the easiest way is to cut the lines and reconnect with flex hose using just a single flare end and a hose clamp.

Yup, a little plastic or steel tool that slips over the steel line that you then slide into the connector and pop it apart. IIRR they come in 5/16" and 3/8" sizes.
