Hauling ATV and pulling camper... how do i?
Hi,
Quick kinda question...
My atv sticks out a bit too far and I need to keep my tailgate down, but it does fold up about halfway. I need to keep it up that halfway to attach my camper trailer... how should I keep the tailgate up? Ideas?
Thanks!
Aaron

You can make loops to put in the latches on either side then lock the tailgate with the key. That will allow you to hang the tailgate from the loops and keep the latches from being accidentally released by the latches.

How Hard?
How hard is that to do with the backup cam in the tailgate? There is a rather large cable/wrap of cables going from the bottom of the tailgate to the truck under the bed... is there a quick disconnect?
Thank you.

Funny enough, I just unscrewed 2 of the tailgate screws and screwed in eyebolts into the existing hole! Now i just run a tiedown to each and around the bumper on my atv.

Mine came with some sort of plug for the backup cam when removing the tailgate. Check the manual. Pretty easy to disconnect. The guys who coated my bed had it off in a few seconds.
