I thought so too...and to be honest, I don't really know.

I was planning to order a new truck with heavy towing, 36gal. tank and everything else that I wanted...but, I found this one on a lot for $38k and fell in love. lol

I tow very little and never real heavy, so I wasn't worried about it. But, I would like to know in case the need arises.

Ah, XLT trim Supercab. Hence the decent payload. That'll come in handy when towing.

That may be the highest payload truck I've seen that's not a HDP truck.

do yall know how to find which tow package I have?

I see there's 53A, B, C??? but no idea which I have. or where to find out.

53A, B and C are order codes in the F-150 Order Guide. You find out what the codes mean by insisting the dealer that sold you the truck print out a copy of the 2016 F-150 Order Guide, then you study that order guide with a fine-tooth comb.

Yours is order code 53A, the regular tow pkg. Note your window sticker says "Trailer Tow Package", not "Maximum Trailer Tow Package" and not just "Trailer Hitch". It includes the receiver, wiring and trailer plug, oil-to-air tranny cooler and upgraded front stabilizer bar. It also includes an engine oil cooler with the 3.5L EcoBoost engine, but not with the 5.0L.


53B is not a tow package, it's is just the receiver hitch and trailer plug at the back of the pickup, and does not include the other items in the regular trailer tow pkg.


53C is the max tow pkg, and your truck doesn't qualify because it requires the 3.5L EcoBoost engine and you have the 5.0L.
