Trailer lights not working from 6 pin round to 4 flat 2000 ford F150 XLT
Basically I am borrowing a friends 2000 F150 to tow a bass boat. He said the last time he hooked up a car trailer he had no problems. I bought a converter from his 6 pin round to my 4 flat for my boat trailer. The converter has test LEDs and they weren't lighting up. I checked the fuses and they were fine. When I hook up my boat to other trucks it lights up fine. The wiring underneath the truck looked fine. What is my next step from here? THANKS IN ADVANCE!

i would say check the grounding on the trailer plug wiring if nothing works...
quick test i've done in the past... grab a set of booster cables and clamp truck/trailer hitch or frame and trailer bypassing the white ground wire/trailer frame to ball mount...if everything works then you'll know for sure its a grounding problem

Get a test light with the sharp pin. Ground the alligator clip to the truck. Turn on a turn signal. Put the pin in the openings of the 7 pin. One of them should flash the test light. If the 7 pin openings are all hot when they should be (tailight, turn signal, stop light, etc), Then there is a ground problem somewhere. If none are hot, there is a bigger problem; possibly with the wiring if your fuses are OK.
