Wow that is very strange.

Ground certainly seems like the place to start but if that seems good . . .? Are there multiple grounds, for each circuit, or a single ground for the trailer harness? I have not dug around back there before except to repair a couple wires after someone broke off my 7 pin plug hitting me parked in a lot.

I'll let this simmer in the back of my mind and let you know if anything comes up.

Anyone have a wiring diagram for the trailer harness they could post?

Re-did the ground. No change.

Uggghhhhh!!!!

Noticed there's a diode missing in the little fuse box under the hood. Will put one in tomorrow and see what happens.

If I take it to a mechanic I know it'll cost me an arm and a leg...
They aren't going to believe me when I tell them everything I've tested and tried...

I'm very sad. I just want to tow my trailer. I guess technically I can as long as it isn't at night and I don't need the headlights.

Maybe Ill just buy a new truck.

This girl needs a miracle!!

I'm trying to clarify. You stated you have aftermarket trailer brakes but a 4 pin connector?

I also have a seven pin connector. I don't have any trailers that use this connector though. I briefly tested it with my multimeter and it seemed to test ok. Maybe ill run it through the whole LED test too.

I also had issues with my 4 pin on my 04. I already had a 7 to 4 pin adapter from my previous truck so I just always use that set up. I never looked into what was up with my 4 pin.

Default No Running lights

This seems to be a common problem with the newer trucks . It's because Ford is not wanting to spend a little more money to completely finish the truck as it should be ... Mine had no Tow relay , nor the other two fuses ... it burns my *** ... Trucks are made for towing and stuff like that , they shouldnt leave the factory unfinished IMO , every truck guy I know tows something once in a while . I used to like FORD but Im starting to think they are just like the rest of the people in this country all about themselves and how much $ they can make , It's no longer about building a great fully outfitted truck for the consumer Its about MONEY .....My 02 was a much better built truck than this 2013 ... If I had it to do over Id still have my 02 with 108,000 ... everyday I wish Id kept that truck for a while longer ...
