Default Towing side mirrors

Hey folks, I have a new style 2004 FX4 with power/heated/signal mirrors. Does anyone know if a set of 2008 Extended/power/signal (no heat) have the same plug? I'm guessing not, but what's it take to convert without too much trouble? It's for towing my Travel Trailer a few times a year, so I also considered just getting the **** slide on mirrors....any thoughts. I can swap out the 2008 with mine even, but don't know if it's worth the trouble of hacking into my wiring if need be.....

Your help and thoughts are greatly appreciated!

The best way to do this is to sell all of the mirrors that you do have, even the ones that are now on the truck, and buy the ones that you really want directly from FORD.

I have the **** ones and they work so-so. I would not recommend them.

I used the Ford slide-on mirrors on my 2005 and they worked just fine.

08 wiring should be the same but I went with tow mirrors from 1A Auto on this site. Many others have done the same with no complaints.
