Default Towing question

Hello, I'm watching a bid for a 2002 F150 SuperCrew 4x4 with a wrecked front end to use for a parts vehicle for my truck. I need the doors and the bed off of it. I'm probably just going to take the truck back home if I win it, it's about 2.25 hours.. 125-150 miles. My question is going to be should I get a uhaul tow dolly or should I get one of their automobile trailers and use that?

I have a 2003 F150, Crew Cab, FX4 with 3.73 gears and the 4.6L engine. My concern is that it's going to be too much weight for my truck and give it a lot of trouble and strain driving it that many miles back up to my house..

If the back end is good, I'd put it on a dolly and roll on.

It's not bad. You aren't going that far. Your truck will do fine.

I would be more concerned pulling it on a trailer with all four wheels off for the stress on my truck. I'm not concerned about pulling it with the dolly and the stress

I don't think you are gonna wear out your truck in 150 miles.

That'd be some decent strain though for my 4.6L towing a 5k lb vehicle and a 2k trailer when it's only supposed to be doing about 6500 lol

Hey I'll take the radiator mount of that truck if you don't need it and if it's not rusted out

Haha alright. I just want the body parts. Everything else will likely be parted or scrapped
