Towing MPG - Ouch.

Wheel size is irrelevant to the gear ratio selection and to speed @ given rpm calculation. Your winter tires don't turn more RPM because they have a smaller hole in the middle. The turn more RPM because the tire diameter (outside diameter is smaller).
If I tried to match the outer diameter of the 17" with the 20" they would be massive, and right now I have such huge wheel openings the truck looks silly, but I will take silly over damaged any day. 18" would have been much close in diameter to the 20" but cost more and really aren't worth it for the purpose they serve.
With the recent snows, I sure wish I had that Tru-Trak installed, one wheel drive sucks at times, especially when turning.
Why is it the snow and ice at an intersection is always on the right, and which wheel is most prone to spin, the right.

Our '11 FX4 gets 9-10 pulling our 5000# travel trailer. Just curious, what 32' TT do you have? I haven't seen much over 25' that fall into the actual load capacity for my truck...

2007 5.4 towing a 19 foot airstream. Regularly get 12-13 on the highway. I ever exceed the speed limit with a max of 65 mph. (Trailer tires have a maximum speed limit if 65). Trailer weight is about 4500 lbs.
