towing mirror recommendation

Just got the **** 11800 that I ordered from Walmart. Thanks for the advice to get them. They fit just fine.
I wonder why **** says they don't fit? Because they don't show or have the amber reflector?

The are none for a super crew. The next gen f150 tow mirrors can be modded to fit though

I think you'll like these. The big towing mirrors are very nice, but I didn't want them all of the time. These work great for my trailer towing 7-8 times a year.

Do you know what all has to be changed besides the wire connection? Is it just trimming plastic or drilling new bolt holes. Really been thinking about doing this mod. Was gonna try finding a busted mirror bracket to see difference

They are much more expensive if you use the Ford parts catalog instead of the accessories catalog.
Ford has messed up their on-line accessories catalog so I can no longer find mine, but if you go to a Ford dealer and ask for a 2013 (or 2012) F-150 accessories catalog, the towing mirror pair kits will be in there.
Install is a 15 minute job. Wiring is plug and play, and the three mounting bolts are plug and play. The secret is you must remove the door panel, which means you must look down in the hand-hold on the door and remove a plastic cover over a screw, then remove that screw. The other screws you remove are easy to see.
On edit: My Ford parts lady found them:
Ford part number DL3Z-17696-BA = Tow mirrors for 2011-up F-150 without memory . These are the ones I have on my 2012 Lariat. MSRP = $440. Dealer cost + 10% = $338.80

Ignore that "dealer install only". Any decent shade tree mechanic can install them in 15 minutes each side.
Here's a source where you can order them for $338.80.

Ford part number DL3Z-1796-AA. Same as above except manual glass. MSRP $400. Tousley price $308. If you have an XL without power mirrors, no need to pay more than this.
Ford part number DL3Z -17696 – CA. Same as the first one above except add memory. Tousley price $500.50. I didn't think the memory feature was worth the extra cost so I ordered the less expensive tow mirrors without the memory feature. They work fine.

They should be plug and play, but only if your 2012 came with the small power-fold mirrors. Power fold mirrors were standard on 2012 King Ranch, Platinum, and Harley Davidson trim levels without the max tow package. On my 2012 Lariat, the power fold mirrors were not standard but were part of the $950 Lariat Plus package, which also includes rear view camera, reverse sensing system, remote start, and a fancier sterio with 6 CD. But I need the tow mirrors a lot more than the power fold function, so my power fold mirrors are stored in the barn.
Hmmmmm. That reminds me - I have no idea how to use the remote start system. I have no use for it, but since I've had the truck for 18 months and 20,000 miles now, maybe it's time I read up on how to use it?

1A Tony...... I have a 2012 fx2 supercrew with 5.0. I want to go with an aftermarket tow mirror like the **** ones. My biggest concern beyond if one is made to fit, is if they will scratch the paint. I have the painted mirrors on my fxs with sport package.

I have chrome cap mirrors on my Platinum and use the slide on **** mirrors. You can't completely avoid scratching, but minimize it. I lined the slide on mirrors with scotch tape (or equivalent) on the rub points and make sure your mirrors are clean of dirt and grit when you slide them on.
