Towing. Limit

42k lbs, at least (or, see above...)
long story short, look at your truck's payload (yellow sticker inside the door jamb) vs your favorite 5th wheel's pin weight.
if (pin weight + you + wifey + stuff + dog + everything else) < payload, you could be OK.

I am going to go out on a limb here and say a small one if any at all. The KR package really eats up payload. Payload is king for 5ver or GN towing.
I tow a GN 3horse with a big tack room with AC, awning, and set up for weekend dry camping and I am under all my limits but close to them. My truck has a high payload due to limited options as its an STX 4x4 SCAB which is a light truck compared to a KR. Most 5ver trailers are much heavier on the pin than my trailer, so be very careful.

Take a look at the spreadsheet at the link in my signature for some sample data points. If you look at your payload sticker (as mentioned above), you could contribute your own data...

2015 Ruby Red King Ranch
I have a 2015 KR SCREW with max tow. Payload Is about 1650 (for my truck). I would be comfortable with a 1000lbs pin weight 5th wheel, as long as you don't put much in the cab. Howevet, beware of advertised 1000lbs pin weights. They quickly jump to 1200+ when you add essential equipment to the trailer. This forum and YouTube will teach you all you need to know (if you search for it)

I can't tow a fifth-wheel with 1800 lbs payload so suffice it to say you can't with 1650lb payload. My max wt for a fifth-wheel would have been about 6000lb. None are that small! You can tow a much heavier trailer.

Actually, there are some really light weight fifth wheels out there.
In the perhaps lightest weight end is a SCAMP fifth wheel. Not what most people are thinking about when they talk about fifth wheel trailers.
Stated hitch weight is only 400 pounds. But add to that number as you are likely going to add options to the trailer (standard is very basic). Options include bathroom and AC. But you are starting with a trailer that weighs 2400 pounds. Even their deluxe version with bath and shower weighs 2900 pounds.
Be sure to add the weight of the fifth wheel hitch to your payload considerations.
Note, if you use one of the various C/L search engines, 95% of the Scamp ads are scams. Sad.
