Towing GVWR Question
Hi guys, I'm new to the forum!
Question, I'm trying to understand which of these two numbers applies to me when determining the GVWR of a trailer I can tow. I have a 2003 F-150 SuperCrew 4x4 Auto with 5.4L V8 engine, 16" wheels and 3.55 rear axle ratio. I'm still left with two numbers, 7600 and 8000 lbs. Which actually applies to my truck?? Thanks for any help...
Pic attached from my truck manual.

I'm betting it is 7600 in your case since you have a 4X4. A 4X2 truck is going to be about 400 lbs lighter without the extra gear.
Here is a link I found that provides a bit more detail. You'll have to scroll down to near the bottom to find the info you need. This says 7600 and 7900 and even shows 7100 with larger optional tires.

Thank you for the response. The page Ive scanned in that pic is for my engine, 4x4 and transmission, so its not a difference of 4x4 vs 4x2 ... I did look at that link though that you included, and it seems to indicate 7600 lbs as well. I'd still like to understand why theres 7600 and 8000 though, I wonder if it depends on what gear you drive in? Drive or Overdrive?? Thanks again.

It looks like it's 7,600 to me as well. I don't see any reason why the manual lists 8,000 - that doesn't appear anywhere on the towing guide specs except for the 4x2 Supercab CNG

Odd how the manual lays it out, confusing ... but I got my answer. Thanks all

GVWR (GROSS VEHICLE WEIGHT RATNG) is different from GCWR (GROSS VEHICLE WEIGHT RATING). Check your Vehicle Certification Label sticier located on the driver side door. GVWR code is the 4th letter/number VIN
