The payload capacity on my E/B is 1,754 lbs and, with my family of four, I'm reaching that limit at about 5,700lbs of trailer .
I just store everything in the trailer. My payload is over 1800 per the yellow sticker

I'm looking at the same setup with the wirelessOne compressor. I'm still undecided on a TT vs a 5er as there are certain must haves. My wife and I are down sizing. If I can safely make the numbers work I'd like to get a Used 2014 Open Range. Unlikely given a wet 8k would have a safe pin wt of 1600 lbs. but perhaps I could manage with 15% (1200lbs) but that would mean my wife and I would need to fast for 20-30 days lol. Also. Was toying with doing a gooseneck conversion from the pin to the turnover ball (B&W GSRK 1115) with a Andersen ultimate aluminum offsetting mount. Total wt on this setup is approx 165 lbs so I still might be to heavy.
