towing with 33 inch tires -12 offset fuel Hostage wheels
Hey all, im wondering if any you have a similar setup. im looking to get fuel Hostage Wheels, 20x10 with -12 offset. tires are 305/55/20 nitto trail grapplers. getting a 2.5 front leveling kit with 1 inch block in rear.
my concern and not sure if its a valid one but I tow a enclosed 20 foot v neck trailer. full with my (2015 ace 570 and 2014 Xp1000) gets kind of heavy. probably around the 6k mark. I notice it weighs the stock setup down some in rear. so if I put these tires on with this lift plus wit them sticking out due to offset and 10 inch rim, do you think I will have any issues? just want to be sure. I have seen this exact setup elsewhere on forums but cannot reach the owner's.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You won't have any towing issues if your truck came with OEM 275/70R18 stock size tires, which are also 33" tires.
The usual problem with oversize tires is the owner doesn't change the ring gear and pinion so the gear ratio gets back to near stock. But the 305/55R20 and the 275/70R18 tires have almost identical diameter (tire revs/mile), so no change to the ring gear and pinion is required.
However, if your truck came with 31.5" tires stock, then you'll notice a significant drop in power and torque for towing a heavy trailer with 33" tires - unless you also change the ring gear and pinion.
I won't comment on rubbing and handling problems that have nothing to do with towing.

thanks for the response! I currently have the 275/55/20s that came stock. I was more worried about the rear end sag. that can always be corrected with a WDH. I have it on my toy hauler, the issue with the V nose trailer is there just isn't enough room to mount it. I went ahead and ordered Fuel hostage wheels, 20x10 with a -12 offset. went with Nitto Trail Grapplers 305/55/20. that is what I was recommended for look I am going for. I will let you know it all works out and will post some follow-up Photos. Just FYI I went from 373 gears to the 411s already for that extra torque needed.

That's more than enough. You decreased revs/mile by 4.4% with the slightly taller tires, but you changed the axle ratio by 10%. I hope you also had the speedo calibrated to match the taller tires. 4.4% @ 70 MPH = over 3 MPH speedo error. And your trip meter and odometer will also be off by 4.4%. Your GPS should tell you how accurate is your speedo now.

what im worried about and just canceled cause im not sure on the fit is the Wheel and tire setup I just ordered. I went with the fuel Hostage 20x10 with a -12 offset. I see it on plenty of other f150s. all different years. I was told the 2014 lower control arm is different and it could hit? im worried about the rubbing and where. I don't want any rubbing on lower cab. maybe I should go with a 20x9 with that offset?
