First post! Quick question about my new to me 1995 f150 2wd 4.9L i6. It's a 5 speed with the Mazda tranny and 3.73 gears. With at 3200 pound load this thing is sagging wayyyy to low for my comfort level. Jerked it around like nothing up my hill but I want to know if this truck usually sags low in the rear or does it need new leaves? Figured I'd asked you guys that pull with these things before I went to the suspension forum.

What kind of trailer?Was the weight distributed?Sounds like too much tongue weight.Can you post a pic of the load?

As Shenel posted It depends on your tongue wieght and type of hitch. Generally I find that trailers over 3500 lbs should have a weight distributing hitch. When hauling a 4500 lb TT with the WD hitch my 83 F150 would drop about 2 to 3". My 4500 lb fifth wheeler has a pin weight of 800 lbs but it is directly over the axle and only drops it 1.5" on my 95 F150. Both trucks were equiped with HD rear springs. My 95 4.9 with 3.08s hauls very well, better than the 83 302 with 3.55s
Check your springs and hangers for broken leaves or rust damage.

Getting close to 20 years old. Could be just worn out, if it has been used to haul a lot. Maybe needs a leaf boost, if you find nothing broken or damaged.
