Tow mirrors: anybody use these?

I also did this when I got my truck, and am so glad I got the permanent tow mirrors. They were as you put it the Taiwanese special, and aside from the puddle lights illuminating less than a candle in a strong wind, they were great! I just replaced the puddles with some cheap LED bulbs and was back in business. Now I have no idea how I got by the first few months with my truck and those little stock mirrors.

New to the forum. Have a 2016 XLT Crew Cab with max tow package and 3.5 Ecoboost and needless to say I love it
I was looking at having the standard mirrors replaced with trailer mirrors from Ford ... enjoy reading about the options here.
Anyone have a dealer make the change out? Wondering the cost.
With warranty I'm hesitate to make that change out myself.

I’m not sure about the ‘16s but swapping the mirrors on the ’13 was a simple thing to do.
A local dealer quoted me over $800 CAD (parts and labour) to install OEM Ford mirrors. That’s when I looked into the Taiwanese specials: $457 shipped to my door.
Install was straight forward. Removal of the door cards (o.k. the location of one elusive screw had to be youtubed), three bolts and a plug ‘n play wiring connection. Mind you, I opted for the manual (telescoping and folding) mirrors.
My truck is still under warranty. I can’t see how this modification could affect that.
