Thanks for all the reply's. I had a Prodigy brake controller from my last truck an 07 F150 which I was very happy with. I took out the plastic box that was in the hole where the factory TBC went and sawed out the back and mounted the Prodigy in that box. The wires were right behind it so it wasn't hard to do. It looks pretty good like that, only sticks out about an inch. Just enough to get to the controls. I took it out for a test tow and all seemed fine, but some of the features don't work like you guys mentioned. I'll probably get the Ford TBC later though.
I do know that motor sure likes to tow. Mine has 3.55 gears.
