Goodyear Wrangler AT Load Range C is a very nice all around tire. And I'll easily get 70M miles out of mine.

I am not a big fan of long life tires. I would rather have a lower mileage tire with softer rubber than a higher mileage tire with harder rubber because to me, a good tread pattern will never make up for a rubber that just doesn't stick.

I replaced the stock Goodyears for Michelins E rated MS2's because the back end of the truck was getting pushed around corners on down-hill roads. The e-rated tires helped a good bit but did not eliminate the push feeling and are noticeably rougher than the original C-rated tires. The load with the trailer does not exceed the rating for the OE tires and in retrospect, I wish I would have tried a Helwig sway bar instead. May do it yet.

Can't recall a "pushed around corners" problem going down steep and windy Appalachian trails. But then I'm mostly concentrating on keeping the speed down, and not over-revving the engine in first gear or burning up the brakes.

I also replaced the stock Wrangler w/ E-rated MS2's. Agree that they are harsher than the stock tires (I had p-rated Goodyears), and I saw an immediate decrease of about 1 mpg once I put them on.

Never had any pushing or sway issues when towing on the Goodyears, so I can't say that the Michelins are noticeably better when towing. I probably would not go with the e-rated tires again on this truck. I will buy these tires again, though, but either in a LT-C or a P if/when this truck needs new shoes.
