Timbrens vs Autospring add a leaf vs road master active suspension

I'm running SuperSprings now and I'm happy with them. I had to remove the rear block though because they raised my truck a good 3/4" and looked silly. They DO HELP though and they're super easy to take on and off. That said - I'm going to go check out some Timbrens! sheesh, lots of good reviews!

So Timbrens are affected by block size:
It comes with a spacer for lifted trucks it looks like (in the FR1504D kit), but I took there rear block out on my truck (reverse level). Looks like that might not work for me with this kit and I'll have to put the block back in. HMMMM. I don't have this issue with my SuperSprings.
EDIT: Ahh, I can just get the FR1502D kit for the 2WD trucks with no blocks. Easy...

I use RAS. I am not sure what extra stress they put on the leaf springs but mine have been trouble free. I have owned a set since 2011 so they have some miles with no issues. Not disputing that others have had issues but for me they are the best towing addition I have ever used.

I'm in your camp BeerCan. Just installed the RAS after a disastrous trip with Work-Rite installed. Like the Timbrens they are passive until the weight puts them in contact with the axle housing but with the TT on it rode like a log cart on expansion joints and pot holes. Pulled them off as soon as we got back. First RAS trip tomorrow but between the RAS and shock upgrade the unloaded ride is noticeably better. The short trip to the scales and back leaves me very optimistic about the setup.

SES is like a big giant bump stop http://timbren.com/timbren-ses/
RAS is an extra spring you install over your leafs http://www.activesuspension.com/
People have had success with the 2 products, and both are easy to install.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on this. I am getting ready to install mine as soon as my eibach leveling kit shows up so I can do it all the same time.

Here is what the RAS looks like installed. This set has 70k miles on them and they still work as advertised. You can adjust the tension on them to suit your load. When you install just make sure both sides are even, at first I had mine different and the truck looked a little crooked

Went great! I am a happy camper (pun intended) rides great. Only 35 miles, a lot of very narrow winding and hilly roads. Good number of traffic lights in the beginning. 55mph limit on this trip. TT is 29bh weighed at 7820. 11.5 mpg in tow/haul. I have a 3.31 elock diff. Will stretch our legs some more but as of now RAS gets recommendation from me.
