Just had the 1504E Timbren's put on by a buddy that has all the tools a guy could want. 30 min job and that meant about 20 min on the first side, 10 on the other after figuring it out. On my 2016 with a full tank of gas we had to use the additional spacer. Resting, there is about 1.5" of clearance. Driving it, the only time I could tell they were back there was on a big jarring bump. I do think that it helps roll a bit as well in the back. If I bounce on the tailgate hard, I can feel when they make contact. Glad I put the spacers in. Going to be making a trip over Labor Day that will push my payload limits. I'll take measurements

My old 2004 Dodge Ram 3500 had 3" wide rear leaf springs......I measured the F150 today, and also found the same 3" width

Onto the Timbren install.........I have 2" gap from the bottom of the Timbren to the top of the axle tube

Total install was 30 minutes and total Timbren cost is about $135

Installed with the optional spacer, which I used since I have 3" tall rear blocks

Probably still too much gap, no?

2" gap I am good with, more than what they suggest.......but this way, they will only contact the axle tube on heavy loads

The main complaint I have read about the Timbrens, is that they cause VERY harsh riding conditions (unloaded),because of the typical close gap.........whenever driving over even small bumps

When I had a 1/4 " gap, the ride was definitely affected. Took out the spacer and now I have a normal unloaded ride. Gap is just over an inch. Comes into contact nicely on heavier loads.

With my 3" tall block, the rear end sits about 1-1/2" taller than the front

Even with 1000 pounds in the bed, the truck does not squat a crazy amount

I had 2600 pounds in the bed before, so when that happens again, the Timbrens will help out for sure

RAS update. 250m Yorktown to Gettysburg. Added 88# bed weight most forward of the axle. Great ride and handling in traffic (not a few tractor trailers). Expansion joints/concrete repairs are still less than smooth but we will live with it.

Roadmaster Active Suspension

Just finished towing this close to 4,000 miles. No WDH and probably about 650+/- tongue weight.

Better thee than me Jus. Curious what your trailer hitched/unhitched front fender measurements are? Which spacer you use for preload, white or black? Good looking truck.

If the white is the thinnest, it's a loose white but too tight for the black. Never bothered to measure. I have the hitch at 22" ball height without the trailer and I drop the hitch ball down to just under 19" with the taller loaded with my 32. I drove through the night 3 times while towing and never had anyone flash brights at me. The picture looks like it is higher than actual. The truck has a rake empty and looks leveled with the trailer and how I load the car.
