Default Suggestion on Lightweight and Strong flatbed that can carry 8-10k?

As title says, we are looking for a lightweight flatbed trailer for a kubota, does anyone have any suggestions?

"Lightweight" and with 10,000 pound payload capacity is an oxymoron. But here's the trailer you need. With a 20' deck it weighs a bit less than 3,000 pounds and has 11,000 pounds payload capacity (14k GVWR). If you can haul your load on a 16' or 18' deck, those are a bit lighter.

That one is a "bumper pull". BigTex also makes the same trailer in gooseneck, but it weighs several hundred pounds more.

I own two BigTex trailers and they are good. My "Big Red" is a 16' flatbed utility trailer I've had for over 20 years. Look around on their website and you can find the dealer locator.

Yeah, I took a look at this before, though I am wondering about one that is made of Aluminum, instead of wood/steel.

Found an AL that weighs 1900lbs, granted it is almost twice the cost of steel. Most of the steel ones are 2500lbs and the one my dad looked at was 2800lbs.

As you found out, the Aluminum ones save some weight, but cost significantly more $.

I have a L series Kubota, and even though it would fit on a 16' flatbed I opted for a 20' model. Why? Although I didn't have a rear implement, I wanted to be able to have one. Even more importantly, but having a long bed you can place the tractor where you want to on the trailer to optimize tongue weight.

My 20' trailer weights about 2500#.

Check out these guys,

www.slideon.com

They build mostly custom aluminum boat trailers, but they have built car trailers, utility and motorcycle trailers.

Family run business and nice folks too.
I got a tour of the shop, was shown how my trailer would be built and even got invited to lunch, when I stopped by to order my boat trailer.

My boat is on page 5 of the photo gallery, "Key Player".

Worth a phone call.
