Some type of load support up front is a really good idea when running a plow. It will take a lot of stress of the front struts and will keep the truck from bouncing while plowing.

On my 1994 F150 that I bought new and plowed 17 yrs with ...it had big round coil springs up front. I ran air lift bags inside the coils ...worked like a charm. I had to replace one bag that chuffed through in 17 yrs. On my 2010 F150 I had the plow company put Timbrens in the front. It has work perfect.
I thought the power steering on several years of F150's sucked up all the power with nothing left for the plow electronics. Like 2011-20?? The 2015 has fixed the issue. But you need to 5.0 V8....and plow prep package.
I used to be brand loyal to Fisher Snow Plows (made in Maine)...but then a friend bought a Boss Snow Plow...(made in Michigan) ....you can put it off and on in minutes. It's quick and fast and you don't bust your *** putting it on and off...Anyone looking to put a plow on your F150 or any truck...if you don't buy a Boss...your making a big big mistake.
And on my 2015 when I buy it...Timbrens and Boss Plow.

I have a 2013 Eco boost with a 26 series Snoway plow and completely stock/original front end. Truck was purchased brand new January 2015 so I only plowed the one season, but so far, no issues.
Oh, I did purchase an extended warranty from Ford that Includes, plowing.

I'm surprised about the eco boost....I was told plows could not be put on a truck with a eco boost...but maybe its just the 2015 models.

You shouldn't put a plow on an ecoboost of any year because the blade blocks the intercooler.

Maybe you could get away with it if you only did your driveway for a few minutes and didn't take the plow out on the road.

Thanks for the input on the plow I installed the timbrems and road master springs on the back for hauling my 30' trailer and they also help with that annoying shutter while taking off. I get the plow installed Monday

There is only one plow authorized for use on an echo boost, and that is Sno-Way. The Sno-Way plow sits higher in the raised position than other brands, so it does not block in the inter cooler when fully elevated.
