Default Shock upgrade

I have been towing a bit more lately with my new screw Eco a 27 foot TT and a 28 foot enclosed toy trailer. and I am looking for a little better rear shocks.
I like my factory ride but I need something a little stiffer in the rear of the truck, also I am going to be either leveling the front with either the 5100's or rancho quick lift. And adding a little larger block in the rear.

Go with Bilsteins. Either the HD 4600 or 5100.

If you just want a little stiffer ride, have you considered installed a RoadMaster Active Suspension?

5100s are ok. Alot stiffer than stock, but it is what it is.

Let us know how it works out. I'm interested to hear if doing this without 10 ply tires makes a good difference for heavy towing.

I used the Bilstein 4600 HD shocks front and rear and am very happy with them. I noticed more control with the rears and when I had the fronts done about 6 weeks later, I noticed a stiffer ride.

You really like them vs the 5100s?

Well, the 5100s are made for lift (I think) and that is not what I wanted. The 4600s are not ride-height adjustable, but the fronts use the coil spring off the stock shocks. Not sure what the ride difference would be, but the 4600s keep the tires on the asphalt a lot better than the stocks. So I saved money by not paying for features I didn't need.
