I use a combination of RAS at max (raises rear by 1") and Energy Suspension Bump Stops (forces the overload spring to come into play earlier)

I would expect the mileage to pretty poor though, maybe as bad as the "3/4 tons".
Yep, I really like the Titan XD now with the gas. Payload should be enough for a 10k 5th wheel with a nicely equipped 4x4. It is a great option against the F-150 HD with the unloaded ride being nicer than the 3/4 tons. It will most likely be just as heavy as the upcoming Super Duty, so yeah, mpg will be about the same. The Nissan trucks have lots of nice features on them, especially in the bed.

Just a quick note. The brake controller is an easy add-on, so don't let that stop anyone on an otherwise good truck choice. The part is $120 or so and the dealer does have to flash it, but no big deal. I was able to negotiate it as an add-on for $240 including install...I know the install would be fairly easy but given the dealer had to reprogram the vehicle with the integrated brake controller, I figured the $120 for install plus flash was a reasonable deal.

Thanks, I've discussed this with the dealer and looks like I'll need to do the same.

Since I'm a Ford guy, I really can't talk myself into going with another maker.

I really hate GM for what they did to me years ago and can't get past it. Even though I really like the new Silverados, their past behavior and the Silverados close cost to the F150s, keeps me coming back to Ford.

Tundras high cost, and being a Foreign name plate with none Union Workers keeps putting me off as well, besides their lower payload ratings. Dodge can't even be considered with their low payload ratings and I'll never have another Titan or most likely another Nissan unless it's an Xterra.

Did some calculating and the 23 gallon tank will give me the range that my 2010 5.4L 3V F150 had with it's 26 gallon tank. Not ideal but I guess I could get away with it since most truck only come with that 23 gallon tank and not the 36 gallon tank.

Thanks for the heads up on the brake controller though.

Well spacers back in on truck, with the 1 1/2 drop on the hitch, trailer is about an inch high with water tank full, truck is back to 3/4" higher at back, most would live with it, but I won't, choices, morecases of beer or....??? Will want to put new tires on before my next cross country run, so i'll pony up for 15" tire and rim package, that will get me level, and no bump stop issue when full water.
New truck, just different.
But I can't/won't replace a trailer I love that only cost me $2000 and is in almost new condition. Now someone with a newer 5th with an adjustable hitch, would not have some of the issues I'm having, so don't be dishearted.
Love the truck, love my trailer, its just different.
Now if someone wants to toss me $26000, got a beautiful 26 foot jayco eagle 5th traded in.......
Now if your going 5th, really consider getting a superglide hitch, so stress free wheeling around town. they are pricey, but I picked this one up for $500, vs $1400 new
and hold out for at least the 355 gears
