Default Replace Diff fluid if towing

The manual says the below. Has anyone changed theirs? Also does anyone know if the 2.7 comes filled with synthetic from the factory?

If you are towing a trailer frequently in hot weather, hilly conditions, at the gross combined weight rating (or any combination of these factors), consider refilling your rear axle with synthetic gear lubricant (if the axle is not already filled with it). See Capacities and Specifications (page 370).

Under fluid info in the manual, it shows you that it has synthetic.

Just follow the schedule in the owners manual and change it when needed. If you tow a lot, right at max and in hot weather it wouldn't hurt to change it a little sooner than the owners manual states.
