I like the RAS cause it crisps the unloaded ride too. And I bet you could add Timbrens along with RAS if you wanted a really stiff ride when loaded.

we use timbrens in the front to help carry the weight of a snowplow and ras in the rear to help carry the weight of salt/sand for de-iceing. this combo works well for us!

Ive got the timbrens in the rear. I got them for hauling my truck camper. They have absolutely no effect when its empty. My favorite part is there are no moving parts/hinges or any maintance with them. Here in New England, everything begins to corrode/make noises after one or two winters.

i was looking at the RAS since my truck is lowered and i still haul stuff with it. obviously nothing serious like a boat, but i do haul my crotch rocket from time to time or hook a trailer to it. will the RAS raise the rear any?

RAS comes with two little plastic disks for setting its tension. Thickest disk will raise the rear about 1" and give you max effect. But many people are happy with the other disk setting that only raises the rear by 1/2".
