Default Ramps to load lawn tractor?

I have a 2013 F150 and want to load my new lawn tractor into it. I bought 72 inch ramps at Harbor Freight. When I go to drive it up the ramps, the tailgate is being pushed up by the end of the ramps that are resting on the tailgate. It is almost as if I need to "lock down" the tailgate somehow. Are the ramps too short? Havent had this problem with previous trucks. Please help. any ideas?

Try parking the truck in a lower area if possible like a ditch or bank. That way the angle on the ramps isnt as severe as sitting on flat ground.

It's because the truck is squatting, pushing the tailgate into the ramps. Try leaving the teeth or lip of the ramp back a little ways to allow some room for the truck to squat.

Also make sure you strap your ramps.
