one fellow in the threads has a king ranch with 1060 payload or so and he got a trailer toad to pull his vette in a 22' enclsoed. so he can pull the full load since the toad takes the load and he just pulls it.

When I was looking, I was actually more interested in a truck like yours than what I bought. Why? Because its a truck. The issue was that I absolutely wanted the back up camera because I use the truck to pull my trailer plus tractor and I'm usually hitching this up by myself. Not having the camera means getting out of the truck a bunch of times to get things aligned.

When I was looking, I was only able to find a couple trucks with 101A + rear view camera, and none with the payload package. The other issue was that there were higher rebates on the XLT's and so the net cost for a truck with the 3.5L EB + 302A wasn't much more than an XL + 2.7L + payload + rear camera.

I was scanning through everyones numbers and I didn't see any others this low really, seems unfair. But luckily it tows my hybrid great. it's only got a ~420 tongue weight.
Something is adding to the weight of your truck. Of all the 2014's in the spreadsheet, only Mass-hole's (great name by the way) 2014 Lariat is heavier. Some of it (maybe 220 #) is due to the 36 gallon tank. 36*6 = 216 plus the bigger tank itself is heavier. You might want to go weigh the truck with a half tank to see what it's actual weight is. (As you could always travel with less than a full tank.) I think your 20" wheels also add to the weight.

Probably explains why I get such crappy gas mileage as well.

Ok, here is the build sheet

2016 F 150
4x4
SuperCrew
3.5 eco boost
157 wheelbase (6'6" bed)
3.73 axle
301A package
Max Trailer Tow
HD Payload
Extended Range Tank
Black platform running beds
Trailer Tow Mirrors - manual/power glass
Sync 3
Navigation
Tailgate step
Spray in bed liner (Ford)

Kept the options list really short in an attempt to maximize payload. Was hoping to get over 2386 lbs to future-proof for possible trailer upgrades.

Not the most luxurious truck but it has everything I need. Very nice truck and Sync 3 seems very nice.

That's nearly the same build I was going to order except no tailgate step or Sync 3, and in Magnetic. Really funny as I never seen anyone order what I wanted. Very good taste sir!

I went with mine as it had the high payload I needed and was a much better deal being on the lot than ordering. Thought I wanted the tow mirrors but not as impressed after driving a truck with them.

BTW, what's your axle ratings?

Very nice truck.

Nice, what's the GVWR? If I had done a factory order, this is pretty close to what I would have ordered!
