Does your payload sticker on door jamb say 2060 lbs? Mine has GVWR 7000 lbs also but only lists 1462 as max payload on mine with the specs found in my signature below.

I did not see any payload numbers yet in the door jamb. 2060 lbs payload is based online. I'll check when I get home.

There are two tags on the driver side door jamb. These tell you what the actual payload and GVWR for your particular truck really is rather than the inflated numbers Ford likes to reference. The actual numbers Ford mentions are achievable in the right configuration, but that truck is a far cry from the feature rich SuperCrew 4WD trucks most of us actually own. Most of our payloads according to the spread sheet are between 1,400lbs. and 1750lbs. There are a handful that go beyond that, but very few.

I believe I exceeded the payload limit. But it was still a smooth drive on 11-mile trip superloaded and tested OK on 40 miles driving with empty bed right after.

I feel I need to run the Vehicle Health Report as well after visual checking underneath while confirming, of course, that magic payload number in the door jamb.

Given that the largest payload recorded on screw configurations (see the spreadsheet in my signature) is 1932#, and the average is 1721, I'd say the chances are pretty good that you were significantly over the rating.

Speaking of the spreadsheet, entries for my truck are largely incorrect. The sheet shows 2016 model year, 6.5' bed, 3.55 gears and max tow. If you reference my post above, I had a 5.5' bed, 3.31 gears and the standard towing package. No tailgate step, towing mirrors or any of that either.
