Also, you say you have option package 301A, but that is an XLT option package. Do you have a Lariat (e.g. with 501A) or an XLT (e.g. with 301A)?
I have a Lariat. It must be 501A. Sorry, my memory is failing me, and the pictures of the window sticker on my phone are not good. I will get the original out of my file and verify the options.

1,200\12,200 is from the hitch rating, not sure what it really is.
Are those all the options on the sticker? I am looking at the same setup and I thought it would.have a little more payload

That adds a whole lot of more useful information! The rear step adds 63 pounds alone, according to the document. There are a few other things that reduces the payload even further. Thank you for your input!

This points out a problem with the spreadsheet linked on this thread. The idea is great but in practice the "options" included by contributors to the spreadsheet are clearly incomplete. Tailgate step, bars, 20 inch wheels and moon roofs can make a difference well over 200 pounds. Without knowing accurately what folks really have we don't have a complete picture. It does give one an idea of what various models and trims are ending up at but its still an incomplete picture.

Using the data from fleet ford and/or going to a large dealer lot and recording a few hundred payload numbers along with the window sticker you could get better data.

Edit: just noted velosprout posted the fleet ford links earlier in this thread. Thanks

I have the 7000lb. GVWR, 1907lb. payload and can tow 8100lbs. What was so hard about what I posted? The towing info. was confusing to me, because the capacity is contradicted everywhere. So, I called Ford, and got the answer straight from the horses mouth. Sorry if my answer to the payload question was hard to understand.

I am looking at a 501A Lariat and been putting in way to much time figuring out payload numbers, as I am a perfectionist. That number seems overly optimistic. If you look at the yellow sticker on the side of the door. That will list your payload.

Is it a supercab?

Payload not on the sticker is meaningless.

Read it and weep! I really don't know why it was so hard to believe.
