Which plow for 2015 F150?
Waiting on a factory build 2015 F150 Screw XLT with Snow Plow Prep. I'm planning on only plowing my home's driveway and my business' 35 car asphalt paved parking lot on Long Island, NY. Presently have a Curtis Sno-Pro 3000 Steel plow that I love on a beefed up 1/2 ton Silverado, much too heavy for Ford. Has anyone here used the Boss HTX Plow? Is there a better choice that wouldn't void Ford's warranty? Thanks.

I don't know much about Curtis because I've owned Fisher for years then tried a Boss. You Will Not find a better choice then Boss. Period. I have a 7 1/2' standard duty I'm gonna use on mine. I'm having the plow hookup and wiring and Timbrens for the front suspension installed Tuesday.

Lightweight snow plow
If you're looking for a snow plow that won't put as much strain on your suspension as other plows, I ask you to consider our SNOWSPORT HD Utility Plow.
SNOWSPORT HD Utility Plow on Ford F-350.
Our plow requires little maintenance. There are no electrical connections or hydraulic parts to worry about. Just drive forward to engage the plow, then back up to disengage the plow to prepare for your next pass.
The SNOWSPORT HD costs $1,650 for a 7-foot blade or $1,980 for an 8-foot blade. That price includes a model-specific mount for your vehicle and free shipping directly to your door.
Please let me know if I can answer any questions for you.

No disrespect intended....that's not a real snow plow. The situation to use that 'plow' is very very very limited. A small parking lot with 4" of snow. Maybe. If you had a real storm 8"-12" or more? And to show it on a F-350. Every F350 owners I know have a 9' Boss power 'V'.
My driveway is 420' gravel. Then a lot of plowing around the home, shop , yard. I have plenty of other things I rather do then plow. I want it done as soon as possible.

The snowsport is for suburban people with 50 feet of driveway to put on a little suv and play around. I have an 1/8 mile of dirt driveway with trees and rocks on both sides and sometimes we get 2 feet at a time. I would break that thing the first storm.
At work they tried to mount a fisher 7.5 HD on a 15 F150. It was a no go. The blade went up and the front end only dropped an inch and half. But when bounced it went all the way to the bump stops. No way you could drive that on the road. It was replaced with an SD 7.5 which the truck handled ok.
Fisher only recomends the Homesteader which is a little plastic toy and the HT half ton blade for the 15. The HT is ok but a little light duty.
I think I am going to put the SD 7.5 on mine. It seemed like the truck handled it ok on the one I saw. It's only 60 lbs heavier than the HT, but the bracing on the blade looks beefier in case you hit a rock or tree with it, it won't bend as easy. The SD is also chain lift which lets you stack the snow up in higher piles than the HT which isn't.

T_R and stainlessman:
I respectfully disagree.
I'm not trying to claim our plows are as capable as the heavier, more expensive ones. But our plows do weigh a good deal less than our competitors. Adding a SNOWSPORT HD plow to a truck only adds about 200 pounds of weight, so that means a lot less work for your suspension.
We market these plows to homeowners and our customers save quite a bit of time compared to other snow-clearing methods.
If you don't believe me, that's OK. I'll let our customers speak.

I had it at the shop last week. The plow frame from my 2010 would not fit. Ford has changed the frame just enough from the 2014 to the 15. So a new push frame was ordered. I bought the Timbrens from Michigan truck parts(I think) online, they showed only one Timbren for the front of the 2015 F150.
Apparently there are two different ones. Mine did not fit. The shop called Timbren directly and they are sending the correct set with call tag for return of the ones I bought(no extra cost there).
SO....this week they are suppose to have the Timbrens and frame from Boss and going to call me for the install.
But should be no issue using the Standard Duty plow. If your plow shopping.
Please consider Boss.
