Default overdrive or not?

I have a small flatbed 4x8 trailer I use to haul my lawn mowers around town mowing lawns..Should I use overdrive or not? The big yellow one is a 33" walk behind the one behind it is a toro then I have my gas cans string trimmer and leaf blower up in front of the big lawn mower

Stick it in drive and go. With that load you have no worries.

yep, just let the tranny do its job. Even with real heavy loads, put it in tow haul and let it figure out what to do. Modern trannys are smarter than we are.

Give me some backpack straps and I could practically run that around town.

I think just dropping it in Drive should be fine!

No "tow/haul" mode on the 04-08 trucks. Heavy loads the OD needs to be turned off.

I've towed my car on a hauler to long island with it just in Drive. Should I have taken the overdrive off? I also did this during the blizzard... no problems.

Next time I take the car for a long haul, should I have the OD off?

As far as that little utility trailer... I wouldn't notice it either.
Easy for me to forget that my car is behind me... up until I hit a hill...
Then the engine likes to get into the higher RPMs

Most likely your fine on the flats. When you get in to the rolling hills past Kingston you may want to sut off OD to stop the hunting and high RPM jumping, particularly if your using cruise control............ If you in traffic OD off will give you some engine braking as well it help when you have to jump off the gas and on the brakes do to some meat head with lemon yellow (NJ) plates cuts you off.
