No brake controller - towing package
#41
It will pop up in that box, just scroll through the info options using the button on your steering wheel. It wont come up until the dealer activates the controller. It will also come up when you adjust the gain etc.

Which one
I bought the Ford ITBC via eBay and installed it myself. I prearranged to have the Dealer flash it @ n/c. Works well.
The ITBC Connector you need to plug in is captured on the rear of the removed Cubby. See Pic #1 below.
To charge a Camping Trailer 'House' Battery [or any other towed Battery] while driving, you need to install the 30 Amp Fuse, and the Relay provided in a Bag with the Truck. These Parts, supplied as part of the 'regular' Tow Package, were in my 2014 STX SCab Glove Box.
The Fuse and Relay mentioned go into the Fuse Box on top of the Radiator. See Pic #2.
The supplied Grey/Red Connector in Pic #3 is not used. It is used only when installing a non-Ford, Aftermarket TBC like a Tekonsha.
All the Trailer functions are isolated through the bank of Relays you see at the top of the Fuse Box Pix. This is nice. Truck Electronics are thus unaffected by Trailer 'peculiarities', if there are any...
I took these Pix, and scanned in the Ford Documentation/Schematic, intending to do a write-up here. However, there's already good Installation Vids on You Tube, as well as a prior 'Sticky' write-up here.

When I look up my my 2014 STX with tow package it gives two different controllers to choose from. One says integrated and one says with trailer tow package. I ordered the one with trailer package. Did I order the right one? Hope I ordered the right one.
Thank you

Without part numbers it would be hard for people to answer, but there is ONE IBC. Part numbers did change when they had a problematic one a year or so ago with the 2015+ as I recall.

Okay here is one that is shown under the brakes section... BL3Z2C006BC
This one is under accessories..... BL3Z19H332AA
The second one says I have to have trailer tow package for it to work and I do.
