Had to adjust the hitch height up a little. Trailer was only about 5 inches above the bed. Now to take it out on the road and set the brake controller.
Uhhhhh, the jacks and stabs are on the ground..

That's a nice looking setup you have there .

Fantastic payload numbers on your truck.

Looks like you cut the Bedrug for the entire rail. I just cut holes for the hitch feet. Both look good. Nice rig!

Look again jcain. I raised them just enough off the ground to get the full weight on the truck because I wasn't sure how close the trailer was going to be on top of the bed rails. This website makes you use such small picture sizes you might not be able to see it at first but if you blow up the pic the jacks are about 3 to 4 inches off the ground.

SkiSmuggs, I was going to cut just holes out, but it made it hard to get the pins in because these rails are so flat! It also makes the floor flat again instead of having humps. At least I can close up my bed with the fold-a-cover and not have to remove my hitch now, which I like, or still be able to remove it and haul stuff.

Hi atvtinker,
How is that fold-a-cover so far? I'm in the market for a folding tonneau and doing research. It pretty much renders the stake post holes useless right? Does it seem relatively secure? Can I see some pics? Thanks!
Great looking truck BTW!!!!!!!!!!!

FWIW, I used a Extang tri-fold on my beast, and it clears my Reese fifth wheel hitch without issue. It does render the stake post holes useless (well the rears are available when the tonneau is folded), but I don't use them so that's no issue on mine.

Got it. Did you make the cuts with the Bedrug floor in or out of the truck. I'm thinking about doing it like yours, but getting the floor out and back in was no fun.

SkiSmuggs, I cut the holes out after I put the rug back in. It is kind of a pain to get it in and out because if you did like me I put it in and then put the tie-downs back on which means you got to take them back off to get it out. I find it easier to fold the sides down onto the floor and then put the bottom in first then unfold and re-stick the sides. I made the initial cut on top of the rails first to find the edges then just cut straight down the sides. Really easy with a good sharp blade.

sdreefsurf, the fold-a-cover does cover up all the stake pocket holes and it uses both the front and rears for the anchor points for the rails that seal the top. I like the fact that you can fold the cover to the front and it not block the rear window like some of them do and you can fasten it in the open position. And being that it has 4 panels instead of just 3 it actually folds closer to the cab. If you look at one of the pics I posted earlier, you can see it folded when I took the pic of the fifth wheel hitch in the bed. I had this same cover on an earlier model truck I had but it only had the locking mechanism on the back end and not the front where this one has it on both ends so you can lock it and make it pretty secure. This one is listed as the G4 Elite.
