Default new max tow supercrew Travel trailer suggestions

Hi, just purchased new 4wd max tow supercrew ecoboost with 5.5 bed, have been looking at travel trailers for camping, there are 5 of us and we weigh 600lbs. My question is how big of trailer should I be looking at. So far have narrowed down to 24 and 26 foot bunkhouse type from primetime and keystone.
the dry weight is between 4900 and 5200 lbs with hitch at 598 lbs. I live in mountainous area of El Paso Tx. Most of my camping would be going to Grand Canyon and California Yosemite area. Any help would be appreciated.

you have the same truck as me (my payload on door sticker is 1765lbs). I also have 3 kids and we just bought a KZ Spree 240BHS, http://www.kz-rv.com/spree/240BHS.html . It's 4800lbs dry and 6500 loaded. The layout is perfect for us. Truck has no issue pulling this camper. I have the blue OX sway pro hitch and I love my set up. This is my first camper and first towing experience. The only thing I'm thinking of changing are the stock 20" Pirelli's for some LT rated tires for that little bit of extra stability.

You should visit as many RV dealers as possible. There are dozens and dozens of floor plans in different configurations. You will soon determine the features and layouts that you like and dislike and be able to mesh your trucks specs with trailers in your price range.

This!!! You don't want to get a TT and then find one you like a lot better, so do a lot of looking. And try to get one that you will be happy with if it rains for 2 or 3 days. My previous TT was difficult to get around with the dog on the floor as he blocked the whole aisle. We have lived in our current trailer for a month with no problem.

Whatever you do, think Ultra Light.
WE have a 29' Premier Bullet.
I pull it with my 2012 EB and 3.55 gears.
It weighs about 7400# loaded (6,000# empty).
With 600# of cargo weight, you may want to look a little lighter, because that 600# will be 800# in a couple of years.

Thanks for all the advice. how heavy and long a trailer should i be looking at? are there parameters to look at? The dealers will tell you can pull anything, I just want to be on the safe side.

If your looking for a ultralite then i recommend the Keystone Passport line. They have a ton of light weight trailers with different floor plans

The door sticker in your truck tells you the maximum parameters, but you need to think about loaded weight of the trailer. Use the gross trailer weight instead of dry weight as you will be filling it more than you would think.
