Not to be a downer but you do realize that it is illegal in both Canada and the U.S. to tow a boat behind a bumper hook RV.....it has to be a 5th wheel. And even then you require either a class'A' or class 'A' modified drivers license.

It's legal in Saskatchewan as long as the lead has brakes and total combination does not exceed 75'.

Grumpy Old Man
In the lower 48, he'd be illegal in several states but not all. For example, he'd be okay in Texas if his combined length didn't exceed 65 feet.

His rig would be illegal in his home province of Ontario and 4 western provinces because the first trailer is not a 5er. Several other provinces don't allow two trailers, period. From what I can see in the Trailer Life summary of towing laws, he'd be okay only in Quebec if his overall length didn't exceed 19M.

Just driving down to Toronto today, I saw a couple of rigs heading North like this for the weekend: Bumper pull travel trailers with boat trailers on the end.
Legal or not, they're quite common in Ontario.

I've heard all the you can't do this stuff...pic's got posted on facebook back in august....so I went to the scales/mto....called the office to check with another worker....23M or 75 ft...max weight-4600kgs/10100lbs....that's it....the rv throws screws into the rules...brakes on both axles of the rv...
if the weight goes past the 4600kg/10100lbs, then the class A licencing comes into play...
and for those following to see what happens...we made it....the eco did great as usual...
