My 3.7 more than a grocery toter
In this picture she is hauling the grocery plus my
5500 pound tow. The way to make the little V6
Perform is Manual Mode and shift at 5k out of 1st and 2nd and 4k or 5k out of 3rd and then I just leave her in forth as 5 and 6 are way too high
For causal towing. I don't race to 5k when towing , just a steady pull up too shift point .
I sold a 6.0 GMC 2500 and got this Ford
The towing performance IMO is better with the 3.7 at least up to 6K . The 6 speed is a big help
Over the 4 speed 4L80 and its stupid high 1st gear.

Yep, when I first saw the 300 HP specs of the new 2011 V6, I thought "That's the same HP as my brother's 2002 Mach 1 Mustang!" And he had to pay sticker price for that car because others were paying thousands over sticker to get one. But nine years later you could get 300 horses in a V6 F-150 and still get a discount when you bought a new one.

Yep. 300hp is a bunch of power, you just need to let it rev, and it does just fine. Pretty cool how it can pull a boat or more streamlined loads in 6th also.
