Nice setup. Have you tried raising your ball one more notch? Look slightly low in the front of the trailer. Hard to tell though with one picture. Truck looks pretty close to level maybe a little low in the back. I like to see everything pretty close to level and yours looks pretty close.

That is the reason I am thinking about installing air bags on my F150 so I am able to adjust for that.

Is anyone else using air bags for that reason?

Thanks!! I purposely dropped the ball one notch. I was always told the trailer will tow best(least amount of sway) with it slightly nose down. Also with longer trailers (32'+) it has a better chance of not bottoming out the rear bumper in certain situations with the nose slightly lower. She tows straight as an arrow! Here is the only other pic i have hooked to the trailer.

You will beat head against a wall with all the ratings and numbers! I've been looking for over a year and have been to Hershey RV show twice.

There are tons of nice 30's out there that are half ton towable.

As others have mentioned tounge weight is where you need to pay attention as that plays into cargo capacity which in turns plays into axle rating.

When I was killing myself over weight I was actually cutting trailers from my list or thinking about settling for something that wouldn't work well.

It also has to do with packing, I will not use the bed of the truck as storage as the trailers have so much storage.

Have fun and I can't wait to get mine.

I second the build in friction sway control WD setups. Equalizer was the first but others now make them too.
I'm positive. I had to get the 3.73 to get the Electronic Lock Rear Axle, and I also wanted the Off Road package, which I believe is a requirement as well (not positive on that one).
